Being visible online – UGH, I know, I can hear your groans from here! That’s because you know I’m right when I tell you that being visible online is the only way to truly ‘sell out’. 

Visibility isn’t just about showing your face though. It’s about showing people who you are – especially if you’re a coach, educator or service provider. People are buying into you, right?

If you’re struggling with getting your face out there – it’s more than likely down to your mindset, over anything else. So here are my top tips for nailing visibility mindset and turning your confidence into coin!

1. YOU are the expert

If someone is tuning into your stories or videos, guess what?! They want to hear what you’re saying, hell, they’re crying out for it! People genuinely do not spend time watching your stories so they can mock you – they don’t have time for that. You owe it to the people who are tuning in to show up and give value. They’re coming to you because they’re pretty darn sure you’re the expert they’re after. Prove them right.

2. You’re going to make MISTAKES

And it’s ok! I promise. In fact, things that you might categorize as mistakes are probably invisible to everyone else. We’re way harder on ourselves than anyone else is, but don’t let the fear of messing up stop you from showing up. The only way to get better at anything is to practice. If you haven’t started – how can you expect to get better/more confident/more natural?

3. Your VOICE is unique

In the saturated online world you’ve probably seen hella ladies slaying it out there. I’ve got tons of idols myself. The key thing to remember is that, although you might admire them, you are your own unique combo of secret sauce. As tempting as it might be, try not to imitate others, but be inspired by them. There’s only one Sara Blakely or Marie Forleo, so you be you and you can’t go wrong. ‘Acting’ like someone else will look like just that… acting.

4. Don’t be afraid to be WEIRD!

Sharing a photo of myself on an inflatable unicorn? Maybe a few months ago I’d have cringed at the thought, but 3k likes and 32k followers tell me that there’s nothing wrong with keeping it fun! You don’t need to be mega monochrome or super-uptight to look professional – those days are dead, babe. So get your weird on, dance to TayTay and show us what you look like after a day of hustling! 5. I don’t want people to see me VULNERABLE

Running a business is not sunshine and roses. That’s a fact. Pretending that everyday is yoga and lattes is just pretentious and people will see that. It’s endearing to your followers if you’re real about what you do. It shows that you care and it makes you appear more approachable.
