How to Make an Extra $100K This Year November 16, 2020 / , , ,

My Mama taught me to never talk about money, but I’m doing it anyway.  Because a little money is good. But more money is better. 

My advice? Never apologize for wanting more money. Because more money gets you more of what you want. More freedom. More time. More of anything you damn well please.

What would an extra $100K this year mean to you? A down payment on a house? Paying off debt? A new car? A next-level investment in your business?


We all know WHY more money is better. But HOW can you actually make an extra $100K a year without setting your hair on fire?

Equal parts mindset and strategy, babe.

Mindset matters most. Setting a target of making an extra $100K this year may feel like an energetic stretch. You may not feel ready to own that goal. I’ve been there, I know that feeling. But what I’ve learned after a few years of seven-figure business under my belt is this: You have to feel capable of achieving your goal to take any action. Whatever you pay attention to will grow. If you want a cash infusion, you have to believe you are capable of creating a cash infusion.

Part of your job every single day is believing you can hit your goals. 

“Six-figure December. Six-figure December. Six-figure December.”, I hear you chant.

Where attention goes, energy flows. Show up as if your goal was a given and take massive radical action. If you’re willing to play the mindset game, you’re going to see the result you want.

Mindset nailed, what are the actual strategies you can follow to create a cash infusion in your business?

1. Re-Launch and Renew

Launches are great ways to infuse cash into your business and hit new levels in your business. Launches of brand new programs also take time and effort that are a stretch between now and the end of the year. If you want a big cash infusion in the short term, launch what you already have. Pull one of your programs out of the archives, dust off the copy in your content bank and launch again. Ideally, you’ll re-launch a program that gives you both the immediate cash infusion you want, while also creating the oh so valuable monthly recurring revenue that keeps you off the hamster wheel.

Another strategy to consider is to renew your client contracts early. If you have clients with contracts set to expire in the early part of 2021, offer them an incentive to renew early so you can book the revenue in 2020. This can be a smart year-end tax strategy for your clients who are looking to put money into a business investment as a way to reduce their taxable income. Pulling contract renewal dates forward is a great way to book sales now.

2. Pre-Sell a 2021 Mastermind

If you don’t have anything you can pull out of the archives, create a new program to be delivered in 2021. If you are a business coach, fitness coach, health coach, etc, you can pre-sell a year-long 2021 Mastermind. The fourth quarter is always a great time to launch betterment programs. I launched my signature Bali Mastermind in the fourth quarter of 2017 and never looked back. If you create a high-level year-long program priced at $10K a month, you need to pre-sell 10 spots to make your goal. This kind of high-level program is appropriate for established online entrepreneurs looking to scale to the next level in their business.

Another strategy for business coaches to consider is to launch quarterly planning intensives or virtual VIP days as an add-on to existing programs. People are building their 2021 business plans and craving connection and advice. Life coaches and relationship coaches can shift their messaging to making 2021 ‘your best year yet.

3. Black Friday Offers

Yes, you still have time to launch a Black Friday offer that’s a cash hit. Everybody loves a deal and Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the biggest shopping days of the year. So what’s your offer?  If you have a high-level program like VIP coaching or a Mastermind, I recommend a modified private coaching program, for example, a 3-month package. Or adding a VIP option to an existing program. If you have a course in your services portfolio, consider offering that at a discounted price.

Once you’ve decided on your offer, it’s all about being 100% committed to your goal and taking massive action to show up big to reach your goal.

If you believe you can make it, I believe you.
If you believe you can’t make it, I believe you. 

So choose your beliefs carefully. “Who do I need to be to make an extra $100K this year?”, I challenge you to ask yourself.

From there, move confidently in the direction of your goal.

Follow up on warm leads and support your new clients fully.

Show up on livestreams every single day. Every time I do a livestream, I make money and so can you.

Jump on those sales calls you hate doing. Because it’s not really that you hate sales calls. It’s that you suck at them. I have a 95% sales call close rate and so can you. So dig in and get comfortable with sales calls. 

It’s homework time! Build three scenarios for making an extra $100K. Maybe you pre-sell 10 spots in a $10K Mastermind in 2021 and you’re done. Maybe you sell 5 spots and layer in 50 courses at $1,000 each. Whatever it is, build your plan. And then actually do something about it. 

It works if you work it. Work it until it works.

I started from zero. There’s no reason why I’m running a seven-figure business and you can’t. Mindset was the difference for me. I simply decided I was going to be a successful entrepreneur and took massive action to reach my goal.

Parkinson’s law states that a task is going to take as much time as is allotted for it. If you tell yourself you can launch in two weeks, you will. If you tell yourself you will make an extra $100k this year, you will. As much time as you give something is as much time as it’s going to take.

Falling in love with your business that gets you everything you want is worth showing up for.
