An Entrepreneur’s Coronavirus Survival GuideJune 24, 2020 / Business, Intentional, Mindset
By Sabrina Philipp
If you’re struggling to move your business forward in the time of Coronavirus, read this coronavirus survival guide for entrepreneurs.
My business is stronger than ever, and it’s all because of the Coronavirus.
I’m stronger than ever, and it’s all because of the Coronavirus.
I am serving more people and empowering more women into entrepreneurship, and it’s all because of the Coronavirus.
#FACTS.
“How is this even possible in the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression?”, I hear you say.
I’m going to tell you exactly how in this coronavirus survival guide for entrepreneurs…
Simple. Radical self-care and straight up loving on my clients and my team.
Taking care of myself FIRST
You know the airplane drill. Put on your own mask first before helping others! You’re of no use to your family, team and clients if you’re not 100% dialed in to your life and your business.
Throughout this crisis, I’ve SCHEDULED my self-care time and put a giant DO NOT DISTURB sign out for all to respect.
My regular baths are my religion, giving me time to unwind, get clear in my heart, and get ready to serve another day.
To fill my spiritual cup, I’ve been taking regular online yoga and meditation classes…thank you, Coronavirus for the abundance of great classes and no freakin’ excuses!
I’ve deepened my connection with my family and friends virtually. My faves? Cooking together with my family on Zoom, can you spell S-C-H-N-I-T-Z-E-L? And double date nights with friends who make me laugh where the sun don’t shine.
But seriously, what’s the real secret to survival?
Let yourself off the hook, ladies! I’ve done this like a boss all through this crisis. Because if I let myself off the hook, I can let others off the hook, too. Compassion starts right here, for myself, numero uno!
Not feeling the cooking vibe? Order in. Can’t handle your workload? Ask for help. Let someone else take the wheel when you’ve come to the end of your own power. It’s called prayer. Thank you, Paul!
Speaking of Paul…
Prioritizing My Relationship
Coronavirus has played Cupid in my relationship with Paul. We are more solid than ever, thanks to so much time off the travel road.
We’ve cooked hundreds of meals together.
We’ve planned our wedding together.
We’ve created a new home together.
We’ve leaned on each other when s**t got real.
We’ve made new choices – together.
I’m the best version of myself when my relationship is strong.

Holding Space for My Clients
Let’s face it, the Coronavirus has been a freakin’ shit show. It’s been a confusing and sometimes straight up scary time. My job is to help entrepreneurs move forward, PERIOD. Now more than ever.
I’ve extended payment plans for my clients to help them navigate the economic uncertainty and keep them focused on moving their business forward.
I’ve spent tons of time holding the vision for my clients, shining light on the opportunities that will come from this crisis and how they are being called to serve, NOW.
I’ve restructured the Academy to make it more accessible to new online business owners taking bold new steps from the Corporate doldrums to empowered entrepreneurship.
I’ve hosted more coffee chats and check ins with my clients so we can all stay connected at a human level and lean on each other through these unprecedented times.
I’ve coached my clients on how to navigate the Coronavirus and build go-forward business plans that give them the ability to pivot on a dime and create extraordinary impact.
Red or White? Wine Time for My Bali Mastermind boss babes has kept us all connected and focused on what matters most – living the lives we love.
Turning Team into Family
Without my team, my business doesn’t exist. It’s essential that everyone on my team feels safe and valued as we navigate this crisis together.
I’ve held weekly support meetings for my team to check in on how they are doing and give them some super real talk.
We communicate on the regular about all things Coronavirus in the #covid19 Slack channel (thanks Buffer!)
I’ve reassured everyone that hours are safe as we focus on driving efficiency in my business through systems and processes.
And I’ve implemented a firing freeze in my company. Now is not the time for anyone to be worried about their income. Taking care of your team means spending time with them to help them expand their skills and reach for a higher level of contribution.
Remember y’all, the truest test of entrepreneurship is crisis.
Nothing shuts down progress more than fear. You’ve got this!
Take care of yourself, your clients and your team. And the rest will take care of itself.
